PGI coup for Virginia

Virginia The US state of Virginia has successfully competed against North Carolina to secure a new investment by Polymer Group (PGI) worth at least $65 million.
PGI will install a new nonwovens manufacturing line at its existing plant in Waynesboro, in addition to expanding the building, creating 41 new jobs in the process.
“An investment of this magnitude and the creation of 41 new jobs is important for Waynesboro and important for the manufacturing sector in Virginia,” said Virginia’s Governor Bob McDonnell. “The project ensures that PGI will continue to build on its progress in Waynesboro.”
Governor McDonnell approved a $750,000 grant from the Opportunity Fund to assist Waynesboro with the project. And a further $750,000 in a performance-based grant from the Virginia Investment Partnership (VIP) programme.  Source nonwovenslive.com
