Japan`s Nonwovens production mark double-digit growths for 4 straight months

According to METI statistics, Japanese nonwoven fabric production increased by 20.1% in April compared to the same month of last year to 27,071 tons, thus posting double-digit growths for four consecutive months.

Production increased for all manufacturing methods. Wet-laid nonwovens production sharply rose by 32.5% to 3,727 tons, and that of needle-punched nonwovens grew by 25.8% to 6,417 tons.

January-April 2010 nonwovens production increased by 20.1% from the year before to 104,127 tons.
